Earthquake Tower Challenge - Students will construct towers made of balsa wood and test them on an earthquake shake table to see how long they survive the stress of an earthquakes waves. Initial construction will occur on day one. Testing and redesign will occur on day two. Students may also investigate the different types of earthquake waves using Slinkies. Seriously, who doesn't love a Slinkie?
