2022 - The Art of Animation

The Art of Animation – Using the Stop Motion Studio app and Animation Desk , students will learn the basics of "the Art of Animation".  On day 1, with clay and other props students will recreate the life cycle of a butterfly. We’ll then use iMovie to add music, titles, and transitions, and then share our videos on Flipgrid. Butterfly Metamorphosis in Stop-Motion  will take up our first 90 minutes, followed by Butterfly life cycle lesson and “noticings” followed by design and making of our stop motion video. Day 2 - using the application Animation Desk students learn how to create a storyboard to help them develop their animation. In addition, students will explore concepts such as frame rate manipulation and design layering.
