Many artistic endeavors cannot be completed with the help of mathematical patterns. We will be learning how to use mathematics to make three different art forms: tessellations, mosaics and frieze patterns.
Students will be able to identify what a pattern is and predict what should come next in patterns.
Students will learn about translations, reflections and rotations.
Students will create tessellations, mosaics and frieze patterns.
